California Approves Protective Products with 7702/7702A changes

From Protective:

The state of CA has approved our products with their 7702/7702A changes (Bulletin attached).  The updated products will be available to issue on 12/13/21.  Some key details to keep in mind are below:

• The approvals cover Custom Choice UL (no price change), Lifetime Assurance UL (no price change), Advantage Choice UL (price increase and issue age changes), ProClassic II UL (no price change)

• Advantage Choice UL issue ages are lower in CA – see below

Transition Guidelines

Clients will receive current (prior to 12/13/21)_ product versions if they:

1. Submit a signed application (includes completing the TeleLife® interview or signing a paper application) and illustration, if necessary.

2. Ensure the policy has an effective date of December 12, 2021, or earlier.

Any policy issued with an Effective Date of December 13 or later will receive the new product version.

Illustrations: As of December 13, 2021, the old products will no longer be available for new illustrations except through Franz and the Protective Life Sales Desks.
